People who fight non-existent enemies like "sin", "evil", "devils",
and "demons" require constant psychological reinforcement from
like-minded people to keep their delusions alive. All of the
participants in the lie cast off doubt by creating spectacles of
"proof" in support of what they oppose so they can have an enemy
to fight and thus a purpose.
In the end they are merely actors fighting for illusions, taking all
focus off real life. They call this relief of pressure their "bliss"
-- and it comes at the cost of everything that truly matters in life.
